Gin Blossoms - Found Out About You

I

I'm back after a couple of days off. Work has been pretty busy the past week, and I haven't been able to get to the keyboard.

One of my favorite albums of the early 90's was "New Miserable Experience" from the Gin Blossoms. I was watching The Professor of Rock yesterday, and he was talking with Robin Wilson and Jesse Velenzuala about the iconic song "Hey Jealousy." It was another stellar interview discussing the band's beginning and the tragic story of co-founder Doug Hopkins. If you have not checked out The Professor, YOU MUST DO SO!

Hopkins wrote the Song of the Day Today, which hit #25 on the Hot 100 in 1994. "Found Out About You" is an amazing track on an amazing album. Hopkins had a way with his hypnotic lyrics. This is another great track from this very successful album. Hopkins sadly took his own life in 1993 and did not get to see how successful his band and songs became.

I popped it on on my long train ride into the city yesterday, and it never disappoints.

Nobody plays more Gin Blossoms than The Variety Station. Check it out today!
