Every once in a while, we should pause and check things out with ourselves. We always seem to be on autopilot: work, sleep, family, work, sleep, family. Today's Song of the Day reminds us to reflect on our lives.
"Check It Out" was the third single from John Mellencamp's The Lonesome Jubilee album. This album was a powerhouse for Mellencamp, producing hits such as "Paper In Fire," "Cherry Bomb," and today's #14 hit. I have always had this in my Top 3 Mellencamp songs, but it speaks to me more and more daily. As I get older and time seems to be slipping away, I must remind myself to look back and be proud of my accomplishments. As John sings, "Where does our time go?
