I like to pick meaningful songs or tell a story about my life. My life revolves around music; I need and must have it. Many people on YouTube give back stories on the songs, but I like to show how a song can tell the story of my feelings. This is why I chose this classic track for today's Song of the Day.
Night Ranger is one of my favorite bands of the 1980s. I was lucky to catch them at a local fest in the 2000s. Today's track is from the band's 1985 release, "7 Wishes." The album produced three Top 20 hits and hit #10 on the Hot 200. "Four In the Morning" is a song about loneliness and that restless feeling when you wake before dawn.
For some reason, I keep waking up before the alarm these days. There are some days I wake up between 3 and 4 AM. I know many of you have the same issue. I sympathize with you, IT SUCKS. This song is in my head most mornings these days, not just because of the time but the feeling of loneliness.
