Today's Song of the Day is an upbeat and fun track from Steve Winwood. I have always been a fan of Steve's voice, from his time with The Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, Blind Faith, and his amazing solo catalog. Steve has one of those voices that makes you feel happy, energetic, and positive.
"Roll With It" from the album of the same name was released in 1988. The song was a major hit, reaching #1 on the Hot 100 for four weeks. It was the last #1 on AT 40 with Casey Kasem. With an amazing horn section, R&B vibe, and Rock Style, it is no wonder it was a huge hit. "Roll With It" is a great motto for life these days. It's crazy, mixed up, and makes no sense, but we must "Roll With It."
