Sugar - Your Favorite Thing

In the early 1990s, a new force in alternative rock emerged, capturing the hearts of music lovers with its raw energy and melodic depth. This force was Sugar, an American alternative rock band formed by former Hüsker Dü frontman Bob Mould. Among their many hits, "Your Favorite Thing" stands out as a quintessential track that showcases the band’s unique sound and lyrical prowess.

After the disbandment of Hüsker Dü, Bob Mould sought to forge a new path in the music world. In 1992, he formed Sugar with bassist David Barbe and drummer Malcolm Travis. The band quickly gained recognition for their powerful live performances and distinctive sound, characterized by Mould’s intense guitar work and passionate vocals. Their debut album, Copper Blue, released in 1992, was a critical and commercial success, establishing Sugar as a significant player in the alternative rock scene.

I have always loved Bob Mould's voice, and this is easily one of my favorite tracks from 1992. If you love songs like this, check out The Variety Station.
